Lynne Louviere, Family Intervention Specialist
Lynne, a native of New Orleans, received her BA in history from Loyola University of the South. She began her high school teaching career in Orleans Parish, but she and her family soon moved overseas to work for the Department of the Army in Germany. After teaching GED and high school completion classes to the inmates at Mannheim Stockade, Lynne accepted a job as substance abuse counselor for soldiers of the Schweinfurt military community, during which time she became a board certified substance abuse counselor. She remained at the Community Counseling Center for over five years, the last two of which she was supervising counselor, before transferring to Ansbach. During the next four years, Lynne worked for the Nurnberg Army Hospital as the social work representative in Illesheim, an outlying military community, dealing primarily with cases of spouse and child abuse. After twenty years in Europe, it was time to come home to South Louisiana. Lynne joined the Iberia Parish Juvenile Drug Court in April of 2003, after teaching in the GED program of a New Iberia adult education facility for eight years.
