Subriena Marks-Hopes is the newest member of the counseling team. She joined the New Iberia organization in March of 2002. However, she is no newcomer to Drug Court. Prior to her employment in New Iberia, she was a member of the treatment team of Fairview Outpatient in Bayou Vista, LA a local mentor court and served as a counselor there for two years. She brings a solid foundation in counseling and understanding the intricacies of the Drug Court system. Subriena has worked with adolescents and adults as well as females with special needs. She received her Associate Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Southern University in New Orleans, LA in 1994. She also studied Criminal Justice at the University of Louisiana / Lafayette. She obtained her BCSAC in June of 2000. Subriena is a married mother of three and is a native and resident of Jeanerette, LA.

Kauhia Loston joined the ReEntry Program of Drug Court June 2005 as Case Manager. She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2004. While working on her degree in Psychology, she studied Criminal Justice and plans to pursue her Masters in becoming a Licensed Social Worker. Kauhia's primary role is screening clients and addressing the client needs for ancillary services. She's also required to follow up on the status of clients once they are referred to an outpatient facility. She tracks all statistical data for reporting to the Louisiana Supreme Court. Kauhia is the mother of two, a resident of New Iberia and a native of Four Corners, LA.
