Mr. Lars Levy is the Administrative Director for the treatment services for the Sixteenth Judicial District Drug Courts in the parishes of St. Mary and Iberia. This includes five courts:  two Adult Courts, two Family Focus Juvenile Drug Courts and a newly established Reentry Drug Court Programs.  In addition to his duties as Administrative Director, he has been active in acquiring funding within the state of Louisiana and actively pursuing grants at local, state, and national levels. Mr. Levy has been involved in drug abuse treatment since 1983.  He has held offices throughout the treatment field in Louisiana.  He has served as Treasurer, President-Elect, President and President Emeritus of the Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselor and Trainers. He is currently the President Elect of the Congress of State Drug Court Associations for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.  He also holds the position of Executive Director for the Louisiana Association of Drug Court Professionals.  Additionally, he is a former member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals from 1999-2003 and has just recently been reappointed to the board, in June 2005.   Mr. Levy holds credentials which include certification as a NCAC level II, National Certified Addiction Counselor; LAC, Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Louisiana and an Advance Credential from the Louisiana Counseling Association (LASCAT).  Mr. Levy is also the editor for the Louisiana Association of Drug Court Professionals Quarterly Newsletter.
